Onboarding

Onboarding built for each kind of company — and everyone who joins it

A design studio, a brand, a garment factory, a spinning mill, a cotton co-operative, an inspection agency and a software company do not set up the same things. In DesignerEase each chooses its business type once, at sign-up, and gets its own setup — with the reason for every detail one click away.

Your business type, chosen once

The business type decides your packages, your setup and your menus. A brand never sees a factory’s onboarding, and a factory never sees a brand’s — not even by typing a page’s address.

  • Brand-only, factory-only or supplier-only packages
  • Your legal name, registration number and head office address asked before payment, because every invoice prints them
  • Inspection agencies and software companies agree their package with our team and pay by card when it is ready

Every detail says why it is asked

Each field has a “?” with the reason, and each step says where its answers are used — the invoice it prints on, the report it fills, the payroll rule it sets — or that it is kept on record for audits.

Steps that fit your trade

Required steps are marked, and documents, invoices and payroll stay closed until the steps they need are done.

  • Brands: brand profile and guidelines, product types, stores and warehouses, suppliers
  • Factories and mills: sites, departments, machines, production lines, factory calendar, planning, buildings, safety setup and the safety office’s fire, electrical, structural, emergency power and health checklists
  • Farms and co-operatives: farm sites, land plots, crops and workers
  • Ginners, spinners and traders: the growers and mills they buy from, for traceability
  • Inspection agencies: the factories they audit; software companies: their SOC 2 programme

Checked and approved by the owner

Before trading, the owner reviews every step and sample documents made from the company’s own answers — an invoice, a packing list, a purchase order — and approves. Every change is logged with who made it, and the owner is reminded to approve again when the setup changes.

Everyone who joins

Onboarding does not stop at the company.

  • Team members: invited with a role that fits the business type (or one of your own roles), they accept the terms and get a first-day checklist for their role
  • New employees: documents, emergency contact, bank, contract, consent, mandatory trainings, badge and induction — ticked from their records
  • Workers: worker help, speak-up and the attendance kiosk in English, French, German, Spanish, Urdu and Chinese
  • Customers: invited by e-mail, they set their own password
  • Partners: sign their partner agreement before their order and booking links open, and keep their insurance, licences and bank details on their dashboard
  • Suppliers and connected companies: qualification, agreement and connection in one “onboarded” status; connecting records what both sides agreed to share

Frequently asked questions

Can we change our business type later?

It is chosen once at sign-up because it decides your packages, setup and menus. If it was chosen wrongly, DesignerEase support can change it.

Do we have to fill everything in before we start?

Only the required steps of your business type. Optional steps say what they feed, so you can add them when you need those reports or features.

How long does onboarding take?

It depends on your company — a design studio has far fewer steps than a factory with several sites. Lists such as employees can be loaded from an Excel or CSV template, and an assistant can fill steps from a conversation.
