Digital Product Passport

Digital Product Passport software for fashion and textiles

The EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) makes Digital Product Passports mandatory for textiles. DesignerEase builds each garment’s passport from the data you already create — design, bill of materials, suppliers and production — so nothing is typed twice.

Everything a textile passport needs

Every passport is generated from the tech pack, the bill of materials and the lots received from suppliers.

  • Fibre composition and material origin, farm to finished garment
  • Carbon footprint per product (Scope 1, 2 and 3)
  • Water, energy and chemicals used
  • Certificates (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GRS) with transaction certificates
  • Care, repair and end-of-life instructions
  • A QR code per product or per unit

Traced lot by lot, not estimated

Suppliers seal each lot — ginned cotton, yarn, fabric — with its quantity, certificates and footprint, and pass it on to the next step. The passport shows the real chain behind every garment, with the share of weight traced to source.

Ready for brands, manufacturers and suppliers

Brands publish passports, manufacturers add production data, suppliers add their lots. Each company only shares what it agreed to share.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Digital Product Passport required for textiles?

Textiles are a priority product group under the EU ESPR. The delegated act setting the textile requirements is expected first, with passports required from around 2027–2028. Building the data flow now avoids a rush later.

What data goes into a textile Digital Product Passport?

Typically material composition and origin, environmental footprint (carbon, water, energy), substances of concern, certificates, care and repair information, and recycling or end-of-life guidance.

Do my suppliers need to use DesignerEase?

They can — then their lots and certificates flow into your passports automatically. Suppliers who are not on the platform can fill a supplier form through a private link instead.
